Born in Dover in the United Kingdom, Michael moved to Stuttgart in 2004 after four years in London, which included the completion of a bachelor’s degree in Publishing and Media. Michael began working as a freelance language trainer in 2005 and founded Errington Language Services together with Arlette Errington in 2007.
In 2013, Michael developed the English programme for Biberach University of Applied Sciences, which he still teaches today, and, soon after, began working for Stuttgart University as a lecturer and proof-reader. In 2021, Michael began training to become a certified NLP practitioner and life coach.
Today, in his spare time, Michael enjoys spending free time with his three children as well as reading, writing and watching the occasional baseball game.
Arlette lived in London for several years, where she studied Journalism at Middlesex University and later worked as a subtitler for Sky News and Sky Sports. On returning to Stuttgart in October 2004, Arlette worked for a number of magazines before joining the teaching profession in 2006 by working for the Berlitz language school and later with the Errington Language School, which she co-founded with her husband Michael in 2007. She has been working as a translator of German and English since 2001 and as an interpreter since 2016. She is certified by the state, publicly appointed and sworn.
